Another Important Announcement: We at Hokuto no Gun are NOT taking requests to subtitle anime until further notice! All our projects have been initiated by what HnG staff want to do, and we’ve got five anime projects and a bunch of manga projects either in progress or planned, and we all have lives and can’t dedicate our time to a million projects. So if you want someone to sub Fuma no Kotaro or Gold Lightan or whatever crap we don’t care about, take it to some other group. Not here. This is FINAL.

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for… Here’s the very first episode (version 2) of the Sakigake!! Otokojuku anime!

We’re finally here! After a year’s worth of recruitment hell, drama with other websites, and failed collaborations, we’ve finally gotten underway in our Otokojuku project! What’s more, now that we’re on the ball, you can expect subsequent releases of this project very shortly!

Special thanks to Bleeds_Tricolore for the DVD raws, SpiritofHokuto20xx for his excellent timing and quality checking, Ttally for the karaoke, and especially Seven Stars for his translation checks and for volunteering to help out with typesetting!

As with our other anime projects, this will be released in an Xvid AVI and an x264 MKV. Both will be hardsubbed, but pick whatever codec you prefer. Torrent coming soon.

Important: Even though we’ve got enough people to make these releases go pretty smoothly for a while, our raw provider only gave us up to episode 12 of the DVDs and we can’t contact him anymore. So unless you want us to stop at episode 12, or you want bad quality encodes from episode 13 on, we need DVD RAW providers! If you can rip VOB files and have access to the Sakigake!! Otokojuku DVDs,, please contact us ASAP!

Also, I’d like to officially announce that because of the speed at which we will be putting out these releases, our Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo project is on hold until we finish Otokojuku. That said, it doesn’t look like it’ll be long before this is finished and we start up Bo-bobo again, so in anticipation of this we need skilled typesetters and DVD RAW providers as soon as possible!

Here’s the very first episode of the Genshi Shonen Ryu anime!

AVI & MKV are currently getting re-encoded due to technical difficulties.

You may be wondering about our lack of releases recently. See, a couple months ago, Hokuto no Gun got bombed back to the stone age. We’re recovering now, but we also managed to bring this old anime back with us from the stone age, and we hope you enjoy it.

Special thanks to Seven Stars for kicking off the project and translating it, GouNoKen for providing the raws and translating from episode 4 on, SpiritofHokuto20xx for timing, and LoverofHokuto for managing everything that got dropped in his lap.

This series will be released in both Xvid AVI and x264 MKV. If you want better quality, go with the MKV, but with such an old series as this, you’d have to be a quality whore to care. There’s hardly any difference.

This will be our last priority project. We are in no rush to finish this one, and our other projects will come before this. So please no whining for the next episode: it’ll be ready when we feel like getting it ready.
