Oh, snap, another new series? That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, and it’s yet another one about everybody’s favorite Warring States warlord, Oda Nobunaga! At least, he sure seems like everybody’s favorite given how many people write manga about him. While a manga like Ikusa no Ko (which we’re still doing, just waiting on LoH) starts the series off with Nobunaga’s childhood, this one takes it up in a different direction and starts it at Nobunaga’s death, or at least his historical death. Read on to find out what happens, because I can assure you it won’t be like the history books say!

I’d also like to note that this is the first manga we’re doing by the godfather of MANga, Hiroshi Motomiya, who closely competed with Go Nagai for popularity in Shonen Jump, and who directly inspired artists such as Tetsuo Hara, Akira Miyashita, Tetsuya Saruwatari, Yoshihiro Takahashi, and Masami Kurumada, whom you may recognize as the all-star cast of 80s MANga! So this is certainly one you don’t want to miss, and stay tuned in case we do some of Motomiya’s other and more iconic work…

And with this post, the Tatakae!! Ramenman anime has been completed! I never would’ve believed that this day would come!

To be honest, I’m never sure what to put on these posts so here goes.

I remember hearing about this anime through the Internet and of course through Hokuto No Gun here. I was surprised this spin-off was a thing but if it’s any reason to see more of Ramenman kicking ass then why not? What I wasn’t ready for, was how my mind exploded when I was watching the opening! So imagine my surprise when Chaos throws in a request to work on this series, I got super pumped ready for action! And to think that the donation request was back in October 2011 (yes that long ago), and the first anime started in April 2012, look at how far we’ve come?

With that, I’d like to thank all HnG Chojin for working hard on this series and making it possible for everyone to see as well as the generous donations for funding this project. Without them, this wouldn’t even existed without the translation it deserved.

I open this question out to all fans here. what did you think of the series? Was it what you expected from a Chojin from the Kinnikuman series turned out to be?

Whilst you think of that, what do we have next lined up? Well of course we still have the movie coming up, more Kinnikuman rolling on as well as Bo-bobo ready to smack you with his nose hairs, and of course more Osu!, Akatsuki, Blazing, Takeda Shingen, Sabu and Ichi, the list goes on and plenty of manly material for you read.

And finally, we’re dedicating this series in loving memory of Kenji Utsumi, who passed away last year.
