Yes, this was the manga adapted into the 4-episode OVA, as well as the 39-episode 1973 TV series and the 13-episode 2001 TV series. I’d say it’s basically Yokoyama’s most popular work aside from, say, Tetsujin 28 and Iga no Kagemaru.
