Well, here’s something a lot of you have probably been waiting for, but may not have known it was coming from us! That’s right, Hokuto no Gun and HappyScans are finally giving the magnum opus of Shimamoto Kazuhiko the love it deserves! We’ve got a three-volume whammy right off the bat, and we’ll release some more chapters at breakneck speed until we’ve caught up to where the current scanlations left off, then we’ll keep a steady stream until it’s done! Because if we’re a group that consistently shits out awful work, then at least we’re consistent! But you true believers know that we work hard to bring you the highest-quality in the translation scene, and all you haters can bite me!
Special thanks and shout-out goes out to kazuhiko1412, one of the biggest Shimamoto fans I know, for making this project all come together and doing a bang-up editing job, and also to Wright for cleaning! I’m a Shimamoto’s fan since I read his sequel to Skull Man, published by TokyoPop some years ago. And also his Kamen Rider ZO adaptation. Shimamoto is a huge if Ishinomori’s works, isn’t he?
I would really like to see his G Gundam manga translated and with Yasuhiro Imagawa as the script writer! Maybe in the future?

And yep, Shimamoto was Ishinomori’s student. He was an enormous fan of him, Go Nagai and Leiji Matsumoto.
He was perhaps the most devoted pupil of Ishinomori, and his major assistant. He should have drawn Cyborg 009’s final chapter, if the Sensei had lived a little more. His recent homage to the Cyborgs was absolutely beautiful. Please translate everything you can by him! ^0^
