That time when, depending on whether you’re a fundie alarmist or healthy and well-adjusted, Satan himself rises from the depths of Hell to claim dominion over the Earth, or harmless children dress up as their favorite superheroes and go door to door collecting candy only to have their parents prank them the next day and send in a video of that prank to Jimmy Kimmel! And we here at HnG and our partners over at Happy are celebrating in our own way, by wrapping up Kitaro’s Night Tales! See what happens when Gentleman Vampire and Rat-man team up to take down Kitaro (which is never a good idea), and then let us know what you thought of this Gekiga version of Kitaro! Now there are just a few more arcs that have yet to be translated by us or by the official Drawn & Quarterly release, and you can bet that unless Drawn & Quarterly intends to do them, we’ll be getting to them soon enough!

Thank both you and Nanto for working on this. Kitaro is just one of those anime series that was really overdue for some good fansub lovin’. All versions in fact, but the first two especially.
