I recently watched all of the Violence Jack animes, uncensored. I think what made them controversial, is not so much the violence, but all the rape. If there’s a woman in a Violence Jack anime, it’s a given something terrible is going to happen to her. Jack never shows up in time either. Oh he’ll brutally kill the bad guys, but it’s always AFTER they’ve committed their multiple atrocities (rape and murder).
