It has been pointed out to us that our release of Raoh Den: Jun’ai no Sho was not the director’s cut, as we had been led to believe (thanks to Bellum for catching that). Drax is helping us out with this little problem, so expect the proper version real soon!

Volume 2 of a great manga that I never even knew existed until HnG started working on the S!!O anime. Feeling pretty fortunate this Friday. :)

      Yeah, thx!

Isn’t that the same guy who fought with senior Edajima in Sakigake – Hon? Or perhaps the guy is his master?

    5. SystematicChaos says:

If by Hon you mean Hong… well, still no connection.

    6. Gegegeno... says:

I’m talking about Hon Rimei. Howcome there’s no connection since both of them are blind (hasn’t been confirmed about the current master), both of them have the same moustache, both of them wear glasses AAND both of them use the same martial art?

    7. SystematicChaos says:

Yeah, his name’s Hong Li-Ming. And this old guy has more connection to a certain other (and more significant) character. Plus they don’t use the same martial art.

    8. Gegegeno... says:

They can manipulate their opponents just like puppets. Edajima barely got out of Hon’s technique relying on his, ahum, “principal rod”.

    9. SystematicChaos says:

An astute observation, but overly simplistic. Here’s a few things:

      1. The old guy’s named Master Zhang, not Hong. So it’s impossible that they’re the same guy.

      2. Their techniques are entirely different. Hong’s let him manipulate his opponent with literal puppet strings, while Zhang’s is done by throwing an invisible needle. Besides, Zhang’s is called Mirror of Water, and Hong’s is called Puppet Silent Surging Strings.

      3. Hong explicitly said he studied under “Master Chen”, and Master Zhang said he was from Shen-quan Temple, which is the same place Wang Ta-ren studied.

    10. Gegegeno... says:

I heaRr ya! No need to hide who Zhang knows – it’s clearly Wang (judging from Zhang’s reaction and how much Zhang knows about Wan). That needle thing – wasn’t there a similar martial art in Sakigake, the guy who could mirrored Date’s moves?
