I must admit, this may be a little confusing, but this is actually the first chapter in one of the many different series about Kitaro by Mizuki, plus it’s a bit of a prequel, but it was first in the Kanzenban so we’re doing it now. This is a short chapter just to set the stage; and if you’ve seen the anime and think Kitaro’s fairly mild, you have no idea what’s in store…

Actually i haven’t seen the anime. But i’ve known Gegege before HnG introduced the manga. So if this is a prequel, why release it after the first chapter?
It’s the next one in the volume itself.
And in fact, I believe I said that clearly in my post.
For a second there I was all “Holy Cow! Kitaro`s Night Tales? Why does this sound erotic?” but thankfully this was a cool blast from the past.
