You do know that that’s what real-life sumo announcers actually sound like, right? Because that’s just culturally insensitive.
Then again, you do seem to be a man of the world, considering the IPs you’ve posted with come from Germany, U.S.A., and France… What’s up with that, eh?
I travel… I mean i travel A LOT!!! Like i’m all over the world! In fact i might conquer it one day. What’s racial? I just said that he sounds annoying. Racial my black ass (now that’s racial).
That’s good to know; we know of one troll/spammer/annoying 12-year-old who tends to use a lot of proxies and alternate accounts, and it would be a crying shame if you were his next incarnation ;)
And who said anything about racial? I said culturally insensitive, and there’s a difference. (And I consider it culturally insensitive when a voice sounds a certain way because that’s how it’s been done for 300 years, and you say “worst VA ever”)
I just noticed that Onizu… I mean Takagi Wataru plays a lot of characters in this serie…

Sadly, Gegeno, we do not have a Time Machine handy for us to change the VA that has so much offended you. You might have to learn to enjoy anime with all their flaws and virtues.
Loved the episode—oddly enough as it happens the announcer is my favorite character outside of Harimanada himself. I actually felt a little let down with the eps he didn’t make an appearance! I posit that all events in life across the globe would be better if accompanied with melodic naming announcements and such—debates, graduations, you name it. No telling how long it would’ve taken me to stumble across this wonderful little cultural nugget were it not for this anime—-well done to all.
I thought the announcer was cool since the first time I saw him!
And I still think that way
