This time I tried downloading with IE (instead of Firefox, what I previously tried to DL with), and rapid share would only give me error pages. With Firefox I was able to start the download but only 6-7%, then ends. I did some research, what is being said on the web is that Rapidshare is only allowing premium users to DL. Is this right? Are there any other “free users” able to use Rapidshare?
I’m still trying to find out if there is something I’m doing wrong (other than paying to become a Rapidshare member). Any help would be great. Thanks!
Apparently Rapidshare throttles free users, which means they can download no faster than 30 kbps. So you can download, just not very fast. I would check your Internet connection to make sure the problem isn’t on your end. If it isn’t, maybe try again later, or wait for the torrent.
This article says that Rapidshare intentionally puts pauses in the download to slow the average speed.
As much as I realize that sucks, I haven’t found a more reliable download client in the Megapocalypse.
EDIT: I’m exploring one more option. Let’s hope we’ve struck gold.
I personally use Jdownloader, no problems with rapidshare
Rapidshare does throttle free users now, but it still allows them to download. I use firefox and only occasionally something I download from rapidshare will stop suddenly, but rapidshare doesn’t make you wait after downloads so I just cancel the download and restart it. I figure beggars can’t be choosers. Anyway thanks for the new episode of kinnikuman, you guys kick ass!
RAPID SHARE seems to have some major issues with IE. Page will load blank. Can access with various other browsers.
@EK: IE is a pretty great browser for downloading other browsers.
People should try Internet Download Manager or JDownloader, both are good downloading programs.

So I just discovered JDownloader, and used the link grabber. It found the file and I tried to download. But it keeps getting errors [Restart on plugin out of date errors]. It won’t start the download, I must be doing something wrong. But I feel so close, I’d love to not have to depend on torrents. This would unlock so much more anime for me on this website.
