Well, we were hoping to get something Hokuto done for the momentous 500-hit combo, unfortunately all our staff working on Hokuto have just barely returned from their month-long simultaneous out-of-body experiences, and as you all know, fansubbing is a challenge for disembodied minds. But the good news, especially to our donors, is that we are finally back in the Gulliver business! Thanks to all those of you who so generously donated towards getting the box set, and those of you who didn’t, you still get access to the first four episodes redone with better-quality raws without all that macroblocking, plus typesetting cleaned up by the man GonbeFAN himself!

Well, here’s something a lot of you have probably been waiting for, but may not have known it was coming from us! That’s right, Hokuto no Gun and HappyScans are finally giving the magnum opus of Shimamoto Kazuhiko the love it deserves! We’ve got a three-volume whammy right off the bat, and we’ll release some more chapters at breakneck speed until we’ve caught up to where the current scanlations left off, then we’ll keep a steady stream until it’s done! Because if we’re a group that consistently shits out awful work, then at least we’re consistent! But you true believers know that we work hard to bring you the highest-quality in the translation scene, and all you haters can bite me!

Special thanks and shout-out goes out to kazuhiko1412, one of the biggest Shimamoto fans I know, for making this project all come together and doing a bang-up editing job, and also to Wright for cleaning! Yep, you guessed it! Despite its ending, we all loved Mars enough to do the anime! The faithful anime, at least, we’re not wasting our time with the bucket of crap that is God Mars. Now get ready to enjoy Yokoyama’s big “seriously, screw the world” epic all over again, this time in anime form!

So as you may notice, there are some changes going around here. Notably, this is the first anime release done as a joint with our partners over at HappyScans! We’re giving them a hand in starting up their own fansubbing department with this anime, and they’re going to take off from there! There’ll be some series they’ll do with us, and some series they’ll do without us, so keep an eye on their website to see what they come out with!
