Here it is! The second new title release since HnG’s recent expansion and this one promises to be a project that will warm the cockles of every classic anime fan’s heart!
I am of course, talking about the one and only, Kinnikuman!
Kinnikuman has been around for 30 years now in Japan and shockingly, has never seen the light of an English dub/sub in all that time. Well, we thought it was about time somebody did something about that….
Under the team name of HnG Muscle Subs, we proudly present the first episode of the original T.V series!
This project wouldn’t even have gotten off the ground if it wasn’t for the immense contribution made by Drax with his Karaoke, Timing, Editing, Encoding, and RAWs!!
Special thanks are also due to: SystematicChaos for providing such a speedy and excellent Translation check, GonbeFAN for doing a great job in Timing this episode, Kawaii Kenni for letting me steal his Song translation, Walker Prescott for selecting a perfect set of fonts and doing an incredible typesetting job, DaikenOh for the avi encode, and finally a big thanks to Devil Buffalo for stepping up and painstakingly checking everything along the way!!

So, with the SnK anime fully translated and Bo-bobo translated up to episode 50, I figured that I’d have enough time to head another project, but I don’t want to put extra work on the rest of Hokuto no Gun, or the HnG-Hajike guys, so I’ll be putting together another team to sub another anime. Anyone interested, please comment here.

The anime I am planning on subbing is Sakigake!! Otokojuku. I’m pretty sure most of you have heard of it. I was mostly disappointed that there were only 6 subbed episodes on the net, and I figured I may as well change that.

Anyway, I will need a timer, a TL checker (will ask Wimmo if no one is available), a typesetter, and an encoder.

Please note that this will not slow down any of our other projects.

Well here we are! This is the first release of Hokuto no Gun’s recent expansion, presented by HnG Hajike Fansubs, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo! Special thanks to Wimmo for graciously ripping the DVDs twice and for providing a much-needed translation check, and to Super_Sonic and Walker Prescott for stepping in to make this release possible.

A few notes about this release: We will release this anime in two formats: AVI and MKV. The MKV format will contain an “uncut dub track” as well as a Japanese track, for those of you that don’t mind listening to the dub.

Now enjoy this insane adventure filled with nose hair,  pickles, and squirrels! Torrents will be up soon.

Last year, as we all know, was the 25th anniversary year of Hokuto no Ken. A year that saw new material in terms of Movies and Manga Gaidens.
However, one such little gem that also got made to commemorate this centenary year, was a short manga created by a team of artists known simply as ‘Black Box’. Their short manga outing and mini-anime movie went by the name of DD HNK and was published into several chapters that ran in random issues of Weekly Comic Bunch last year.
Thanks to me being in the right place at the right time, I managed to get hold of these chapters and was able to scan, translate and edit them for your enjoyment!

This Manga actually ran its first strip in the DEC 26th (2008) Issue of Weekly Comic Bunch. Unfortunately I missed it and have been unable to find it anywhere. If anybody out there has this issue, or the scans of the DD HNK strip, please drop us a line at our forum or leave a comment here! The final piece of the jigsaw is out there somewhere and if somebody has it, we can restore this manga to its entirety! Here’s hoping…

Another day…another chapter…another BOOB-FEST!

EDIT: Quick post! I just got back from visiting a friend of mine who was hospitalized…I’m packing now to leave on a business trip tomorrow…I’m then going to go on holiday for a month. In summary, I’m sorry to say that not much is going to get released from my end this week or next month. Maybe you’ll get some surprises though, just don’t expect too much.

Hey all. SystematicChaos here. I’m the translator for the SnK anime and translation checker for the SnK manga.

We at Hokuto no Gun have been recently talking about expanding our borders beyond Hokuto-related material through various side projects. Don’t worry, our Hokuto projects will remain a priority, and these won’t slow down our regular releases. We just have some untranslated anime that we feel needs to be fansubbed. Expect stuff like Kinnikuman. We’re all very excited to get started.

However, as you can tell by the slow releases HnG is currently putting out, we are very busy people and we can’t manage all these projects by ourselves. Therefore, we are creating new teams under our supervision to work on these projects. We would appreciate any help we can get so that LoverofHokuto doesn’t have to bite off more than he can chew.

Therefore, I’d like to announce my first side project, as well as offer recruitment positions for the project. The anime I will be subbing is Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, which I feel deserves a good sub seeing how the dub screwed it over. I have translated almost half of the episodes, but I can’t cover everything if I want a quality product. Therefore, I would like to recruit for the following positions:

Timer

Translation Checker: Must be fluent in both English and Japanese. This is not an anime where you can guess things by context! Must have a sufficient grasp of English grammar.

Typesetter: Must also be able to do karaoke.

I will personally translate.

OK, there’s a striking similarity between the baldy in this chapter and my bald money hungry boss…Wait…um…I’m typing this at work…um…What I really meant was, this baldy is like my really nice bald and philanthropic boss.

Now, I’m sure you guys noticed this was another belated chapter, right? Unfortunately, things aren’t going pick up for SnK too much until September because I’m quite busy with real work now (thank ‘you know who’^^^), and I’ll be taking a vacation in August.
